Focke-Wulf Fw 190s of Jagdgeschwader 6 in WWII Final Operations

Další z publikací o historii Luftwaffe nad českým územím se věnuje závěrečným dnům války z pohledu stíhací JG 6. Jednotka operující z letišť na severu Čech se zapojila do obranných bojů proti sovětské berlínské operaci. V této publikaci se (poprvé v našich pracích) pokusíme o podrobnější rekonstrukce leteckých operací obou protivníků v jednotlivých dnech střetu, primárně se zaměříme na nasazení stíhací JG 6. Ve druhé polovině studie navážeme informacemi o používané technice, zacílenými tentokráte na typ Fw 190A a D. Již tradičně představíme podrobnější rozbor několika vybraných strojů jednotky, včetně jejich osudů a zbarvení.
Text je doprovázen přehledovými tabulkami, originálními dokumenty a několika mapkami.

Hello, I read at the bottom of page 57 that the fuel mixing stations were called WIFO. What does WIFO stand for?

Hello,
thank you for the question. The WIFO is an abbreviaton for the Wirtschaftliche Forschungsgesellschaft organization. The organization built hidden underground concrete fuel bunkers from 1934 year, where main strategic reserve of fuel for military aircraft engines were stored. It was a place, where was made a blending of the fuel too, to get concrete type of fuel - mainly B4 and C3.
